IT Show 2013 at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Singapore

Singapore actually has more than one IT exhibits throughout the year:

  • SITEX, which has offered great electronic bargains since 1998, is usually held in November at Singapore Expo.

  • PC Show, Singapore’s consumer electronic show is usually held in June at Singapore Expo.

  • IT Show is usually held in March and the venue is usually at Suntec City Convention Centre or at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre (2013 is actually the first time the IT show is held at the latter).

  • COMEX show is usually held in August at Suntec City Convention Centre.

All four, of course, showcase the latest digital, electronic and telecommunication products in Singapore and throughout the world. Electronic and gadget launches are usually held here. People flock to IT exhibits because of the bargains and freebies they could get when they purchase an item.

Surely, you can get a SMART TV, netbooks, laptops, gaming devices and even home appliances for less! And you can even bring home free gifts and possibly win in the lucky draw.

For years, the IT exhibits has drawn over 1 million visitors for each show – locals and foreigners alike.  The exhibits are usually FREE admission. But beware, it is very crowded, so the elderly and kids in strollers should, if possible, not be brought there.

The Crowd

It is very crowded. So you have to keep your valuables close. People will bump into you and you will feel stupid for grumbling because nobody will care anyway. Do not go against the flow of the crowd unless you want to be crushed or given dirty looks.

There are some who bring their kids in strollers though which is very irritating. Watch out for these sort of folks.

Demos

Massage chairs are available. Many weary folks sit on the chair to ease their muscle pains away. The massage chair discounts are not big usually. Only $5 off or so.

A variety of gadgets and electronics are available for your testing.

Free games, if you want, there is a hub for gamers to test out the latest games.
