The Food

Ssikkek offers the usual Korean fare: kimchi, kimchi soup, glass noodles, a bevy of vegetables and more. But it also offers a lot of MEAT. Of course, to barbecue, you need meat.



Their spread includes pork, chicken and beef strips, chicken hotodog, prawns (oversized prawns!), squid slices and more. They have rice,  yes, and noodles too. They have bottomless lime juice which is sooo good.



How to Eat

To eat at Ssikkek, you need to cook your food (barbecue, get it?). There's usually a grilling plate set on your table. The servers will add a tinfoil and will replace it every now and then. Cook your food on the tinfoil and wait till it sizzles and is... well, cooked. Transfer the cooked food on your plate and start enjoying a delicious, hot meal.



Keep on going back to the buffet table to add more dishes to cook. Remember, don't be greedy. Cook only what you believe you can eat and then go back to get more if you are not stuffed yet.



The Ambiance

The area inside is air conditioned and clean. But the smoke is a drag. It makes your eyes water at times. I also didn't like the fact that all I saw on their big screens were Korean pop people dancing and smiling and looking cute.
