Within hours of Seagate Technology making an apology and promising to look into alleged “inflammatory messages” by one of its staff, another FaceBook user, believed to be a Filipino, has made a posting on Facebook, this time threatening to kill all Singaporeans who “go to philippines”.
The post, by the supposed Filipino with the moniker “Topher Yakuza”, reads as follows:
Fuck you all Singaporeans, go to philippines and I will kill u all.
He went on to label Singaporeans “faggots” and told Singaporeans to work and study harder if they want higher pay.
Thanks to an investigative TR Emeritus’ reader, the picture of “Topher Yakuza” has been exposed and it apears that he was/is still in Singapore as the picture apparently was taken at a pub in Clarke Quay.
It is not known if the authorities will pro-actively investigate this “Topher Yakuza” for his ‘death threat’.
Just last week, a Filipino working for Seagate Technology in Singapore made a derogatory posting on Facebook, belittling Singaporeans. [LINK]
The posting by ”Carlos R Pestano III”, supposedly a Process Engineer with Seagate Technology, caused a major uproar in cyberspace, angering Singaporeans.
Peeved netizens then lodged a complaint with the Philippines Embassy and forwarded the complaint to Prime Minister Lee, Deputy Prime Minister Teo, the Law Minister and Seagate Technology.
Seagate Technology subsequently issued a statement promising to immediately investigate the matter and take appropriate action.
