MANILA (3rd update, 3:46 p.m.) -- Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and her husband, Jose Miguel, have postponed their departure to Singapore to Thursday.
Arroyo "has decided to rest since her blood pressure elevated and hasn’t normalized yet up to this time," her spokesperson Elena Bautista-Horn said in a statement.
Arroyo’s camp earlier said the former President has scheduled a 12 p.m. appointment with doctors in Singapore Thursday.
Arroyo was barred from leaving the country Tuesday night despite a Supreme Court (SC) decision that imposed a temporary restraining order (TRO) on the watchlist issued against her. They were supposed to leave at 8:50 p.m. via Dragon Air flight 0932 bound for Hong Kong.
She had asked for an allow departure order to leave the country and seek medical treatment for her bone mineral disorder and hypoparathyroidism.
