This is the second of our two-part article on where you can purchase your groceries online and have it delivered to your doorstep in Cebu (or at least pick it up on the same day).

Because of COVID-19 and the corresponding community quarantines imposed, it is highly advised that we STAY HOME for the safety of everyone in general. This is our way of being responsible human beings. If you need to go out to pick up your groceries, remember to sanitize all the time and WEAR A MASK and a FACE SHIELD.

IMPORTANT TIPS!
1. Once delivered, remember to wipe down all your grocery bags, groceries (each and every item) with alcohol or Lysol.
2. If you can, opt to pay COD (cash on delivery) to avoid being scammed and make sure you receive your items before paying.

S&R members who can’t go out to visit an S&R store will have the option to buy groceries and exclusive products through the Lazada website online.

Delivery charge: 

  • ₱40 delivery fee + ₱120 shipping fee.

Amare Shell

As this is a convenience store, they have very limited items and the prices are definitely more expensive than your regular grocery store costs. For example, a 1.5L Coke will cost Php 84, while 1 sachet of Kopiko Blanca will be Php 9 each.

However, they do same-day deliveries and they are reliable. Amare Shell accepts orders from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM every day of the week. If you order after 4:30 PM, your order will be processed and delivered the following day.

Delivers to: Cebu City, Talisay City, Mandaue City

Delivery fee: Php 60 (within 5km distance)

Payment mode:

  • Cash on delivery
  • Fund transfer to BDO, BPI, Unionbank
  • GCash

Philgrocer

Philgrocer was initially set up for OFWs to allow them to order online and send groceries to their families in the Philippines. Delivery may be via LBC, FedEx, and DHL. Because this business model was initially set up for OFWs, it is more expensive.

Delivery fee: 

  • USD 9.99 = for orders in Metro Manila
  • For outside Metro Manila = USD 9.99 for up to 5-kg total weight or USD 9.95 for each order that exceeds 5 kg

Delivery locations: Nationwide. Does not deliver on Sundays.

Payment modes: 

  • Credit/debit card (Mastercard/Visa/JCB/American Express)
  • PayPal
  • Money remittance
