Pinoy Recipes: Pastillas de Leche

Pastillas de leche are easy to make and one of the Filipino kids’ most loved desserts. They’re usually sweets/candies made mainly out of milk and served as snacks or even as desserts.

Some pastillas de leche recipes require cooking, however, the ones we know of doesn’t need to be cooked nor baked. This recipe is simple and easy, kids can do it to.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of sifted powdered milk, any brand will do
  • 1 can (or 14 oz) of condensed milk, any brand will do.
  • ½ cup sifted granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare a large mixing bowl. Pour in the condensed milk.
  2. Then, very gradually, fold in the powdered milk.
  3. Take some of the mixture and roll them into a ball (or even a cylinder if you prefer).
  4. Then roll these little balls on a pan of sugar.
  5. You can either wrap these individually or serve them on a non-stick plate.
